Seth Hall

Seth Hall

President and CEO

Seth formed the company in 1997 and has consistently led the company toward its strategic goals, ensuring long-term success and garnering notable accolades since its inception.

In 2000, Source One Spares was recognized as Entrepreneur Magazine’s 7th Fastest Growing Company, Houston’s #1 Fastest Growing Company and Seth received the Deloitte Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001. Fast-forward to present day, Source One continues its growth trajectory by expanding commercial operations and diversifying into multiple Air Force contracts in support of the KC-46 Aerial Tanker Program and other Government platforms.

Seth currently serves on the Neely Business School Board of Advisors at Texas Christian University and has served on the Executive Board for the Edwin J. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Mr. Hall holds a B.A. in Marketing and Management from Texas Christian University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Entrepreneurship.

Brian Helgens

Brian Helgens

Chief Operating Officer

Brian leads the day-to-day operations of the company, overseeing Commercial Products & Sales, Government Contracts, Data Management, Technical Support, and Order Fulfillment.

Brian served eight years in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard as an F-16 Crew Chief with a tour in the Gulf War (347th TFW/69th TFS) prior to entering commercial aviation.

Brian led operations at Source One from 1998 to 2006 before co-founding Hybrid Transit Systems, a transportation brokerage. Subsequently, he resumed his position at Source One in 2020.

Mr. Helgens attended University of Northern Iowa and holds a certificate in Leadership from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business.

Katie Porterfield

Chief Financial Officer

Katie maintains a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the company. She oversees the accounting and finance team, human resources, and banking, and she is involved in several committees.

Katie began her career in the wholesale food industry and eventually joined Source One in 2010, where she became a member of the accounting department. Katie has held several roles in the company culminating in her appointment as CFO in 2021 following the retirement of founding CFO, Wayne Hall.

Katie is also the Executive Administrator for Pink Isn’t Always Pretty, a Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.

Ms. Porterfield holds a B.S. in Business Administration from University of Phoenix and MBA from the University of Texas at El Paso

Ryan Hall

Ryan Hall

SVP of Operations and Quality

Ryan joined the team in 1999 and holds a pivotal role in overseeing operational efficiency and upholding rigorous quality standards across the organization. He is responsible for warehousing, shipping & receiving operations, repair management, and quality assurance. In addition to operations, Ryan manages structural airframe parts requirements.

Ryan has personally overseen more than 20 aircraft teardowns across the world, covering a diverse range of aircraft, including 737, 747, 767, MD80, MD90, A320, A321 and A330.

Mr. Hall attended Texas Tech University and holds an Airframe & Powerplant license.

Mark Johnson

Major General, (Retired) USAF

Mark Johnson is the Founder and President of J-4 Solutions Group, a consulting and logistics service provider with emphasis on supply chain orchestration, logistics technology, and process optimization. Mark’s focus areas include DLA and DoD logistics operations, organic industrial base modernization and the synchronization of DoD supply chain and OIB in support of logistics operations in a contested environment.

Mark’s industry experience includes five years as Chief of Staff and Chief Growth Officer at Chickasaw Nation Industries (CNI), where he orchestrated, synchronized, and influenced all back-office support functions with operations driving significant growth: 15% revenue increase and over 1000% increase in Net Income.

Mark has 32 years of DoD logistics experience and is one of the few with operational and leadership expertise in both supply and maintenance aspects of the DoD supply chain. He has led logistics for the Joint Special Operations Command, global retail supply chain operations for the USAF, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations at the Oklahoma Air Logistics Complex. Mark concluded his military career as Director of Logistics Operations for the Defense Logistics Agency, overseeing a $35+ billion operation with 27,000 personnel and was inducted into the DLA Hall of Fame in 2022.

Mark served in command positions across the spectrum of logistics, from retail to wholesale, and from tactical to strategic. Mark was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, made multiple trips to Afghanistan and other locations in Southwest Asia and the Middle East supporting the Global War on Terror, and to Haiti on a humanitarian mission after the 2010 earthquake. Mark also led and orchestrated DLA’s crisis response efforts in support of FEMA, the US Army Corps of Engineers, supporting numerous hurricane and wildfire relief efforts.

Mark and his wife, Candice, reside in Danville, Indiana. They have four adult children and nine grandchildren. Mark is an avid golfer, enjoys fishing, and spending time outdoors riding the trails on his RZR side by side.

Wayne Hall

Wayne Hall

Former Chief Financial Officer, Source One Spares (Retired 2021)

Wayne Hall is a Certified Public Accountant with over 40 years of experience in accounting and finance. He co-founded Source One Spares in 1995 after spending 25 years in public accounting, where he developed deep expertise in financial operations and strategic planning. Outside the office, Wayne enjoys staying active on the golf course. He has been married to his high school classmate, Claire, for four years. Together, they have two sons, one daughter, and eight grandchildren.
